RDB Running

Homegrown Races:

Always Fun. Always Safe.

Our events are more than just a little different...
When you participate in an RDB Running event you are more likely
than not to run into us out on the course at 2:00 AM!

A Little Background...

RDB is comprised of race directors who are totally committed to making your racing experience unforgettable. Race Director Bob has participated in hundreds of races and he tries every day to take that experience and use it to infuse RDB Running events with the kind of elements that make for a great race.

What is a Homegrown Race?

It's one where:

  • You know the race director and can actually interact with him
  • You have input into the way the race is organized and operated
  • Local businesses, schools and places of worship participate
  • Fun and safety are paramount

THE OLD GLORY COAST TO COAST RELAY

At sunrise on the September 11, 2014, a lone runner will depart the grounds of the VA hospital in San Francisco carrying an American flag. On Veteran's Day, approximately 60 days later, that same flag will be carried onto the grounds of Bethesda Naval/Walter Reed Hospital. Along the way, hundreds of runners/walkers will have carried the flag across America in a show of spirit and support for Veterans and to raise awareness about the challenges they face. For more information and to register please go to the Event Page.

You can see what days are still available by starting the registration process as a Team Captain and using the pull down menu for "wave." We recognize this is a bit clunky, so we'll endeavor to provide reasonably up to date information here on what is available. The days available as of August 13, 2014 can be found in this screenshot. (Updated Friday, September 12)
